Meindl MFS VakuumThe perfect fit miracle
When it comes to heel fit, the best marks have always gone to us. Now, with MFS vacuum, the shape of the foot is even better replicated in the ankle, collar and tongue zones. A memory foam always returns to the intended shape. In line with the new stretch lining, the MFS vacuum foam adjusts even more perfectly to the foot‘s shape. No more seams in the heel lining, hence increased shock-absorption comfort. Workmanship, materials and technology create perfect harmony.

  1. Reticulated foam down to the toes for perfect adjustment of boot to foot. The MFS vacuum foam (yellow) reaches the ball of the foot. The foot is gently, but tightly enclosed.
  2. Elastic GTX lining material for better adaption to the shape of the foot – no seams in the heel area needed
  3. Special padding foam
    (1) soft, reticulated collar padding
    (2) soft overall heel padding covering the entire heel cup
  4. MFS vacuum foam covering the entire ankle, perfectly adjusting to the ankle‘s shape and enclosing it without any pressure

LACING SYSTEMS

Meindl - Digafix 1DiGAfix®1
DIGAfix® - the flexible, pressure-free, diagonal fixing – ensures “all-round and more adjustable” lacing. Tightening takes place at the correct point, the hook is higher and protrudes less.

DiGAfix®2
Meindl - Digafix 2The covered stainless-steel wire (Speedwire) runs around the entire ankle to the heel (1). The speedwire is tightened when the boot is laced up and this results in a flexible, pressure free fold which improves the heel fit (2). (3) The top two hooks allow a two-zone lacing system.

Footwear shapes/Footwear sizes

Meindl - Comfort bootsLarge sizes
Some people have large feet, others have smaller ones – and it is often a major problem to find suitable footwear. For this reason, we make our most important models from the smallest sizes to the largest sizes. We make our best seller, ISLAND PRO, for example, in sizes 5 to 17, which is a 10cm difference between very small and very large!

Last shape
The human anatomy is as diverse as our feet: large, small, thick – slender, wide, hollow or “flat”. We use different lasts to cover the greatest possible spectrum. For children, ladies an men in various widths and also a “comfortable form” and the “Relaxed Fit System®”. We thus cover a very wide range.

(1) The ribbing gives the upper stability and protects the foot. Using this method of construction one achieves the maximum air porosity with the required stiffness. The removable “open” tongue (1) works like a pump in the footwear. Air circulates in the footwear as a result of the walking action. The tongue is fixed at the forefoot and top (2) with velcro. The entire tongue is a combination of 3-D mesh and a permanently absorbent, reticulating, perforated sponge. This enables the pumping action (1). To achieve anatomical shaping, a micro-fleece stabiliser is sewn to the tongue (2). A strongly adhesive Velcro is integrated to fix the tongue at the forefoot and the top (3). Heel construction: the integrated flex zone (1) provides the transition from the stable heel cup to the soft, perfectly cushioned leather cuff (2).
