Heather Palmer, Bramwell International's Operations Manager spent two weeks cycling the Danube from Passau (Germany) to Budapest (Hungary). Wearing her Source Gobi Sandals and Meindl socks (although she has claimed that they were not worn at the same time).
Heathers trip covered 468.5 miles of one of Europe's most stunning and historic rivers with 38.5 miles cycled on average each day.

Amazingly despite being well prepared for punctures (8 spare inner tubes were carried for 2 people in total) not a single puncture was had, this despite a generous supply of cobbled roads, the occasional hairy section of cycle path and a healthy supply of vin yards en route.
2 guide books were mainly used on this trip:
Cicerone - Danube Cycleway
Bikeline – Danube cycleway parts Two and Three (there are 4 in total)– Fantastic with Maps for each section on each side of the river so we could go on either side….
Below are a selection of some of the highlights of the cycle trip from the beautiful sculptures, stunning buildings and very sobering memorials.
