NEW Meindl Boots Hit the Shops
New from Meindl and arriving at your local outdoor shop, is the Toronto GTX. This is a full grain leather boot with a waterproof & breathable Gore-Tex lining plus a Vibram sole unit that is selling for £139.99.
The Toronto GTX has been specially made for the UK & Irish market to fill the gap in the range below the Burma PRO MFS and Kansas GTX models. It is durable enough to be used as a 2-3 season boot and light enough to be used every day. The Toronto GTX is available in men’s and women’s specific fit in the respective sizes of 6-12 and 3.5-8, inclusive of half sizes in both models. This is an excellent addition to the Meindl range and allows the brand to become more accessible to a broader market.
Another area of the Meindl range that has seen significant growth over the past 12 months is that of the Comfort Fit range. This is a range of footwear from Meindl that provides an even wider fit than the standard Meindl models. This allows those with broader feet to have the correct footwear and therefore comfort. The models in this range vary from a soft approach shoe, the Rapide GTX (retail £119.99) to a stiffer trekking boot the Meran GTX (retail £174.99), with a number of other models between. These Comfort Fit models have been exceptionally successful due to their ability to fit a greater number of people and so allow excellent comfort.
A unique feature of the boot models within the Comfort Fit range is that the footbed is made from very high quality natural cork. This cork gives excellent support to the foot, provides cushioning and also absorbs moisture from the foot. Altogether this footbed provides a unique environment for the foot giving exceptional comfort.
