The Tonale GTX mens walking boot is designed by Meindl as a technical fabric and suede lightweight walking boot. Meindl stand as an internationally respected walking shoe brand, making top quality boots for over 300 years, incorporating a variety of technologies to enhance the performance of their footwear. The Tonale GTX comprises of a GORE-TEX lining creating an impermeable surface, rendering the boot ideal for all weather conditions. Alongside this, a Variofix lacing system allows you to adjust the laces for the perfect fit and an Air-Active footbed aids ventilation so your feet stay dry at all times. The Meindl Tonale GTX is complete with a Vibram rubber grip sole ensuring a strong grip on a variety of testing terrains and excellent shock absorption to protect your feet. This walking boot is a superb lightweight option at 530g, ideal for light trekking.

Light, good fit.
Felt good straight out the box, wore on a 15 mile hike, without any breaking in. Lightweight, if like me coming from a full leather boot, I also own the Meindl Bhutan and was looking for something lighter for a 24 hours event. You might want to consider a size up from normal if walking long distances, as the toe box is quite compact.

Care Advice

Conditioning and proofing spray keeps nubuck leather and suede protected. The boots can be treated when the uppers aren’t quite dry – it ensures they’ll remain supple. Applying a little wax to the hooks and eyelets will protect them from corrosion
