Working in partnership with retailers

Running social media competitions helps us attract and engage new audiences – and continue to grow awareness of Meindl walking boots, shoes and care products. They are also a good way to increase purchase intent from potential customers so we regularly offer giveaways in partnership with our independent and high street retailers.

This month we are working with two independent retailers in Scotland and Ireland, running consumer competitions to win a pair of one of our best selling walking boots, Peru GTX.

Thanks to a tried and tested approach to entry, we’ve created a form that can be used to simultaneously build an opted-in email list for Meindl UK and for the participating retailer. This really helps with ongoing customer engagement and the take up by consumers is gratifyingly high.

A couple of other often overlooked advantages to well-planned social media competitions are driving traffic to the website, and, rewarding our retailers’ customers. The latter is a really important one for us. We have a terrific following of Meindl customers here in the UK & Ireland, so the competitions are an excellent opportunity for us to thank them for their loyalty and enthusiastic engagement.
